DESCRIPTION:Since 1965\, the Aberdeen Senior Center has been serving the Senior Citizens of our community\, by providing a place for Seniors to come for a daily hot nutritious meal\, for recreation and to visit with friends.  The center also supports the "Meals On Wheels" program\, for homebound Senior Citizens\, in the community.\n\n\n\nThis is the 28th annual dinner and auction to benefit the Senior Center.  The proceeds from the auction will be used to subsidize meals for low income Senior Citizens in our area\; to prepare meals\; to purchase and maintain equipment\; and to provide activities and programs for the Seniors.  Over 300 people\, from throughout the community\, attend each year\, in support of our senior population.\n\n\n\nThe Senior Center and the Auction Committee are asking for your help.  Our local Seniors need the Center now more than ever before.  With the ever growing epidemic of hunger among Seniors\, for some\, the meal they receive is their only meal of the day.  The companionship with their peers becomes almost as important as the meals.  We realize\, in these hard economic times\, it may be more difficult for you to give\,.  Whatever you can contribute will be appreciated.  We look forward to your support in 2011.  Can the Senior Citizens of Aberdeen count on you?  Contributions need to reach out office by September 18th\, to make to make sure our Auction Directory is complete and all donations receive proper recognition.\n\n\n\nDo plan to attend this fun-filled event.
