DESCRIPTION:Open auditions for Matilda the Musical will take place on Saturday\, June 1 at 9 AM at the 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam. Kids who are 7-16 years old on June 15 are invited to audition. Kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will fill out and sign registration forms. No prior experience is required. Kids who audition will be taught a short song and dance to perform for the directors. Approximately 50 kids will be cast for the musical. Tuition for those who are cast is $250. Scholarships are available. Rehearsals will begin on June 17 and will run Monday through Friday\, 9 AM-1 PM. Dress rehearsals will take place in the evening. Performances are August 1\, 2\, 3\, and 4.
