DESCRIPTION:The Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST) will be having an IN PERSON beached bird training session in Astoria\, OR on 4/23/2022 and Ocean Shores\, WA on 4/24/2022. There will also be a virtual training on 6/19/2022. The COASST Beached Bird program is focused on the intersection of science\, conservation\, and communities. COASST participants help make a difference for the environment by collecting data on beach-cast carcasses of marine birds on a monthly basis to establish the baseline pattern of beached bird mortality on North Pacific beaches.
