SUMMARY:Jones Photo Collection: Historic Harbor Highlights
DESCRIPTION:On May 21st the 7th Street Theatre was packed with over 650 people for the first-ever public presentation of photos from the historic Jones Photo Collection. As a result of numerous requests\, an encore presentation will be held this coming Saturday. We strongly suggest getting your tickets in advance!\n\n\n\nFrom 1880 through 2003 four generations of the Jones family operated the Jones Photo Studio\, first in Oregon and then in Hoquiam and Aberdeen after 1913. In 2003 the Jones Photo Historical Collection was purchased by Anderson Middleton and went online in 2006. The show will feature over 200 slides categorized by such subjects as Timber\, Lumber Production\, Cities\, Disasters\, Shopping\, Sports\, Transportation\, Maritime and more\, from the 1880s through the 1970s. In addition\, we will have new "mystery photos" available in the show and displayed in the lobby. We ask your help in identifying these. The slideshow will be narrated by local businessman Tom Quigg. This is a 7th Street Theatre fundraiser for a lighted neon candlestick sign.
