SUMMARY:Rural Vitality Forum
DESCRIPTION:Washington's economy is booming \n\nIs this true for your business and community?\n\n \n\nSo much goes into starting and sustaining a business\, including finding the right talent. Too many young people are moving away from our small towns\, and it can be tough for rural businesses to access the marketplace. That's why we're holding a series of Rural Community Vitality Forums in April and May to ask local businesses what's working\, and what's not. Your ground-level perspective can help us take action on issues that will make a difference to you and your community. \n\n \n\nWe're listening\, and so is the U.S. Department of Labor\n\nThis rural "listening tour" is brought to you by the state's Workforce Board\, which helps convene and oversee the state's workforce system. An economist from the Workforce Board will provide a snapshot of the local economy. Then a federal facilitator from the U.S. Department of Labor will help us capture your comments and frame next steps. Once the comments are compiled you'll have a chance to provide input before a report is provided to state and federal policymakers. This is your chance to be heard\, and make a difference where you live.\n\n \n\nThe Business Breakfast will take place from 7:30 am 9:00 am and the Rural Community Listening Forum is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
