SUMMARY:SongCatchers / Bishop Center
DESCRIPTION:The SongCatchers will perform their Dreaming In Color Album originally released on A&M Records plus additional songs on October 18th in Aberdeen at the Bishop Center Theater\, a performance arts space known for great world music. Peter Gabriel took the group on a national tour with WOMAD and calls the SongCatchers "Spine Tingling." The SongCatchers have performed for countless audiences including Indian Tribes across the country. Honoring the traditions of intertribal pow wow singing and drumming and fusing rock\, soul\, jazz and spoken word into their one of a kind mix of music\, the Songcatchers were the only intertribal musical group to sign with a major label and reach the highest level of recognition without watering down the blood and guts sound of authentic intertribal music. " We are thrilled to bring our music to the Aberdeen community\, this is the full meal deal with the entire SongCatchers group\, this is a really big and joyous sound with something for everyone. It is awesome that Charles Neville\, horn man for the Neville Brothers the first family of funk from New Orleans will be with us." Explains Lara Lavi\, one of the lead singers and founders of the groupville.
