SUMMARY:Springing Into Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the first Saturday workshop of the year!\n\n\n\nMany of us have been thumbing through seed catalogs since Christmas\, looking for a new tomato or a new variety of lettuce to try. WSU Master Gardeners will help you get ready for the 2017 garden with this kick-off class in their "1st Saturday" series. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday\, March 4\, at the WSU Extension office at the Elma fairgrounds. This workshop is free to the general public and will be followed by a plant clinic so be sure to bring any plant or general gardening questions you may have.\n\n\n\nParticipants will hear from WSU Master Gardeners about how to choose the best site for planting a vegetable garden\, along with tips on reading seed catalogs and seed packets. The class will also focus on the best plants/plant families for both vegetable and flower gardens in our area.\n\n\n\nAttendees will plant seeds at the class to take home to grow\, and they will take away a few seed packets for at-home planting\, donated by the Dennis Company.\n\n\n\nThe spring 1st Saturday classes will run March through June\, always on the first Saturday of the month\, starting at 10:00 a.m.\n\n\nAbout WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and
