DESCRIPTION:The annual State of Grays Harbor is an important opportunity for community members to receive an in depth view into the economic performance of the county. Join us as we present the findings from the 2019 Grays Harbor Economic Vitality Index   a report showing trend data and highlights of key economic sectors and activity within Grays Harbor County.\n\nIn addition\, this year's guest speakers will feature Washington Retail Association President/CEO\, Rene  Sunde and Washington Retail Association Sr. VP of Policy and Government Affairs\, Mark Johnson. \n\nOverview of Rene  and Mark's presentation:\n\n"Retail: the Industry that Impacts Everyone\, Everywhere and Everyday"\n\nFrom the smallest communities to the largest cities\, retail has been on the forefront of many an era. Retail has experienced major disruption and transformation over the past few years. While the challenges for retailers are real\, we will explore the opportunities and trends driving today's retail industry.\n\nWith the wrap-up of the 2019 Legislative session\, Mark Johnson will discuss recent legislation impacting retailers and small businesses. From taxes\, employment regulations\, market place fairness and data privacy\, this year's session offered a broad range of bills that further require retailers to adapt.\n\n \n\nCost: $25 for GGHI members\, $35 for non-members or reservations made after Thursday\, May 30th. Breakfast will be catered by O'Brien's.
