DESCRIPTION:The Greater Grays Harbor Ambassador Team will be assisting with a ribbon cutting at the YMCA's Camp Bishop in Shelton on May 13th! Enjoy light appetizers\, refreshments\, and FUN!\n\n\n\nThis ribbon cutting will celebrate the completed Canoe House structure built in partnership with Aberdeen Museum\, Grays Harbor College Carpentry Program\, Grays Harbor Community Foundation\, Will Foster and various donors. The Canoe House was built to house a 25 foot restored Old Town Canoe that was used in the water safety program funded by the American Red Cross in 1946. It was used in programming in the 1970s for youth with the Y. Vern Heikkila\, one of those previous youngsters\, tracked down the original canoe decades later\, restored it\, and has helped spearhead this project to create a place to house this piece of history at Camp Bishop for programming.\n\n\n\nWhether you're a Camp Bishop alumni or want to see what the Camp is all about\, please join us on May 13th!
