ANNUAL BLESSING OF THE FLEETSUNDAY MAY 26TH, 2013
1:00 PM - BLESSING
The Westport/Grayland Chamber of Commerce announces its Annual Blessing of the Fleet. This will be held at the Fisherman’s Memorial located at the end of Neddie Rose Drive in Westport, WA.
This ceremony is the only one of its kind in the South Beach area. Its purpose being a combination of blessing those who risk their lives on the high seas and remembrance of those lost at sea. After the blessing there will be a Coast Guard Fly by.
The ceremony is sponsored by the South Beach Ministerial Association and the Westport/Grayland Chamber of Commerce.
Participants in the ceremony include: the United States Coast
Guard Stations, Grays Harbor & Warrenton. The Westport VFW #3057 & the Auxiliary and the Grayland American Legion Post #140 & the Auxiliary, and the City of Westport Police, Fire dept. and other services.
