Description
THE HUMANS
By Stephen Karam
Directed by Brad Duffy
Director in Training: Bri Bonell
A one act play; for teens and adults
Breaking with tradition, Erik Blake has brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan. THE HUMANS tells the story of the quintessential family reunion; a group of people who love each other but still wrestle with basic human fears; old age, abandonment, poverty, and death. Filled with equal parts humor and hurt, THE HUMANS is the winner of the 2016 Tony Award for Best Play
Driftwood Players will be having the second Friday (February 18th) of this production be a “pay what you can” night with the hopes that this will bring new people in to the theatre. Season ticket holders and patrons with regular priced tickets are encouraged to attend these Friday night performances as well.
Please remember that masks must be worn in the theatre at all times. If you forget your mask, there will be masks available at the door.
