Britta Jackson has started multiple small businesses, including local marketing and design agency, alder|creative and her newest project Oh Hi Handpies set to launch later this summer (just after the birth of her second child in July!). She has worked in a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations around the PNW, both large and small (from Microsoft to the Thurston EDC to Grays Harbor College to The Woodland Park Zoo). She worked in partnership with the Washington Small Business Development Center to gain her degree in Entrepreneurial Business from Western Washington University in 2006 and has extensive experience in marketing, event planning and small business start ups. At this HYPE meetings, Britta will share a bit about resources you can use to start or grow your business and provide a Start Up Cheat Sheet to those who attend!
