Description
***Polson Museum Car Raffle***
The "Red Car Raffle" continues. Try to win a new 2011, 312 horsepower, "Victory Red" Camaro! Sales tax and license fees are paid on the car. Second prize is a new Winchester Model 70 Featherweight rifle, and third prize is four nights for two on the Olympic Loop―Lake Quinault Lodge, Klaloch Lodge, Sol Duc Hot Springs, and Lake Crescent Lodge. All proceeds support the Polson Museum. Buy your tickets!
***Kiddies' Parade***
Kids! Bring your bikes and helmets to this year's River Festival. Decorate your bike in any style you want and join others in the Kiddies' Parade! (Decorations and supplies are available. If you don't bring your bike, walk along in the parade with us! Medals will be awarded.)
***Talent Shows for Kids in Two Age Groups***
At 12 noon, Center Stage on Levee Street, kids 11 & under, and at 2:00, kids 12-18, can show on-stage talent to win prizes AND medals for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places in each age group.
This is free so register at Center Stage any time before noon.
***Rubber Ducky Race***
This traditional race on the Hoquiam River takes place at 3:30. A maximum of 1,000 ducks will be sold.
Prizes are:
1st-$500
2nd-$200
3rd-$100
A possible $50,000 GRAND PRIZE from Jodesha is offered.
If the 1st-5th duck to cross the line bears the number in Jodesha-s sealed envelope, the duck's "owner" receives $50,000! (Need not be present to win.)
***Carnival Games All Day***
Kids, have fun at the many carnival games from 10-4. One ticket per game, including the three Big Bouncy Toys and the Dunk Tank.
***Spelling Bee***
Correctly spell the words and win prizes:
1st and 2nd place winners receive $35 and $15, respectively.
Medals will be awarded too. Takes place at 1:30 pm on Center Stage.
Open to kids 12 and under.
***Polson Museum Open House***
Enjoy the museum's newest exhibits free of charge from 11-4
***River Entertainment***
-Coast Guard Boat Tours: Visit a Coast Guard boat at the 8th Street Landing all day. Free!
-Coast Guard Helicopter Water Rescue: Time to be announced
-Rubber Ducky Race: Urge your duck(s) on from the Landing or along the riverside.
***Train Rides for Kids***
Join our newest fun activity all day! Ride all you want!!
