Regional author Megan Chance will speak on "How the Library Saved My Life" and sign copies of her latest book, “Bone River,” a historical mystery set in Shoalwater. Chance has published six works of historic fiction. She draws heavily on archival materials, especially letters and diaries, in her research and speaks eloquently about libraries and the wealth of materials she has found in them. The Friends of the Aberdeen Timberland Library are sponsoring this program in celebration of National Library Week, April 14-20, and will also provide light refreshments. The library closes at 7 p.m. and will only be open for the presentation after that time.
