Description
Hunt the Harbor is a fundraising event that aims to connect Harborites with their own backyard while at the same time raising money for some great local charities. Modeled in part after the popular TV reality show, “The Amazing Race,” Hunt the Harbor pits teams of five or less against each other on a scavenger hunt throughout Grays Harbor.
The event begins and ends at the same location. Teams will sign in and receive anywhere between one and ten “clue(s).” Using the collective creative brains (and brawn) of your team, you will decode the clues to arrive at each location where an activity challenge will await you. Accomplish that activity challenge and move on to the next location. (Note: There will also be “bonus” activities at each location to add even more points to your team’s account). The two teams to successfully return to “home base” with all activity challenges completed, and secure the most points, will win the opportunity to donate proceeds to a local charity of their choice. The first place team’s charity of choice will receive 60% of the proceeds; the second place team will donate 40% to its charity of choice.
