Bring a snack and watch “Fahrenheit 451”, based on Ray Bradbury’s book about intellectual freedom. Montag, a regimented fireman in charge of burning the forbidden volumes, meets a revolutionary school teacher who dares to read. Suddenly he finds himself a hunted fugitive, forced to choose. (Those who attend can vote on which newly released movie will be shown at next month’s Movie Matinee.) This program is part of Timberland Reads Together: Fahrenheit 451, Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community reading initiative for 2012.
