Description
Garden historian Joan Hockaday will explore the botanical legacy of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Part of the job of the Expedition was to gather plants for scientific study. Hockaday will talk about the wildflowers and other flora collected on their trek. Co-sponsored by Humanities Washington and the Friends of the Aberdeen Timberland Library, the program is part of the library's 2013 Winter Lecture Series. Services will be limited after the library closes at 7 p.m.
