The Pine and the Cherry: Japanese Americans in Washington
Historian and writer Mayumi Tsutakawa will discuss the impacts of the removal of Japanese Americans to concentration camps during World War II. This year is the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066 which forced more than 210,000 Japanese Americans from their homes, businesses and communities.
This event is grant-funded by the Humanities Washington program, with additional support from the Friends of the Aberdeen Timberland Library.
