The Port of Grays Harbor is a county-wide port district. Each commissioner must live in a specific district within Grays Harbor County, while all are elected on a countywide basis. Port commissioners serve six-year terms.

The Port of Grays Harbor Commissioners set policy, adopt annual budgets, set tariff rates, approve expenditures of the Port, and appoint the Executive Director and Port Attorney. The Commission meets once a month to conduct Port business.
