St. Patrick's Day Art Show hosted by North Coast Montessori

Description

EXHIBITION: North Coast Montessori is hosting its first Annual St. Patrick’s Day Art Show at Seabrook’s Town Hall to raise funds for the North Coast Montessori Scholarship Fund. This fund is specifically raise funds to pay for full and partial scholarships of children, Grade K-8, to attend North Coast Montessori. 30% of the proceeds of this event will be donated to the fund with the goal of funding 1-2 students for the 2018-19 School Year.

ARTISTS: Open to artists, working in various media, living or working in Grays Harbor County, WA, of all ages. Student art will be sold as well.

MEDIA: Original work created by the artist in the last five (5) years in a variety of media, Artwork may be any of the following:

·Painting: Watercolor, goauche, oil, acrylic.

Works on Paper: Drawing, printmaking, computer generated art; chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax crayons; inks and washes applied by pen or brush.
·Photography: Color or black and white.

·Mixed Media: 2- and 3-dimensional works incorporating more than one type of material in their production, including assemblage and collage.

·Sculpture: Including wood, metal, stone, glass, mosaics, ceramics, fiber, and recycled materials.

ENTRY IMAGES: Submit digital images (photos) of the actual artwork(s) to be considered for acceptance into the exhibition. An artist may submit up to 3 works. Only one submission (3 pieces) per artist. Submissions should be high quality (300 dpi) jpeg’s, maximum 2 MB per image. Remember to put artist’s LAST NAME and ARTWORK TITLE when saving image files to submit.

ARTIST BIO: Submit an artist’s biography, an artist’s statement, and an artist’s website URL (if possible) with the images and entry form for marketing purposes.

RIGHTS: Copyright and all other rights to the artwork will remain with the artist. Should NCM use artists’ images for publications, marketing, and promotional purposes,. Artist credit will always accompany artist’s image.

ENTRY FEE: No entry fee.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Feb, 13, 2018 (by 11:59 p.m. PT)

NOTIFICATION: Feb 14 2018 – Artists will be notified of acceptance by email or phone.

EVENT DETAILS: 
Artists will be assigned a complimentary 10x10 or appropriate booth/wall space in the Seabrook, WA Town Hall during the St. Patrick’s Day Art Show on March 17, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00pm. Artists should supply their own display racks & booth structure, if possible. If unable to do so, Artist will communicate with NCM to find a suitable method of displaying my art.

Artist set up of the booth or display area is scheduled between 9am – 2pm on Saturday, March 17, prior to the show.

SALES: Artists have the option to display sold works for the duration of the show. A 30% commission on works sold during the show will be retained by North Coast Montessori Scholarship Fund. Washington sales tax will be collected by the gallery. Artists will receive payment within 7 days of close of show.

CLOSE OF EXHIBITION: March 17, 2018. Unsold artwork at the show should be packed up and removed from the Town Hall at the close of the show.
