Slacker pals Wayne and Garth find the cable access TV show that they produce in what is literally “Wayne’s World,” the basement of the Chicago home of Wayne’s parents, is suddenly a hot property. Based on the recurring Saturday Night Live sketches that featured Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, Myers’ screenplay was the basis for this 1992 comedy that grossed almost 10 times its $20 million budget.
