The City of Aberdeen, WA was founded by Mr. Samuel Benn on May 28, 1868 when Sam and his family landed on the banks of the Lower Chehalis. Mr. Benn’s birthday, July 2nd, is our official Founders’ Day. Join us the Saturday prior to Independence Day each year to celebrate our City and its rich history full of logging, fishing, saloons, brothels, crime, mystery, culture and much, much more.
The 6th Annual Aberdeen Founders’ Day Parade and Events is a full day of fun family time! The parade launches at 11am. 
After the parade we will have a street fair with vendors from our area and abroad, music, food, fun activities, prizes, and more!
