The cost is $20 for GGHI members / $25 for non-members. Lunch is included and will be catered by Aloha Alabama. Leaders Circle members can send an attendee for free. Reservations & Cancellation Policy Individual Registrations: If you make a reservation but are unable to attend, Greater Grays Harbor is still responsible for the cost of your luncheon/event reservation. If unable to attend, substitutions are welcome any time prior to the event date. Registrants are responsible for the full event fee for any cancellation made after 5:00 p.m., seven days prior to the event. Registration fees will not be refunded or waived after that date. No-shows will be charged the full registration fee.

Description
BHP Billiton Canada Inc. (BHP) is evaluating the development of Terminal 3 at the Port of Grays Harbor for a potential potash export facility. Potash is a non-hazardous product mainly used as agricultural fertilizer to improve crop resilience and yield and is a key link in the global security food chain. The September 24th Business Forum Lunch will feature BHP employees who will discuss their project to redevelop the existing Terminal 3 industrial site to unload and store potash and ship to international markets.
BHP is a leading global resources company with its headquarters located in Melbourne, Australia and regional offices in Houston, Texas and Washington, DC. Subject to regulatory and BHP project approvals, the potash would be received via rail from the BHP Jansen Potash Project in south-central Saskatchewan, Canada. Potash would then be shipped to international markets via bulk ocean-going vessels. The Jansen Potash Mine is expected to produce upwards of 8 million tons per annum (Mtpa).
Tentative speakers at the luncheon include Trevor Heuer, Senior Manager Studies on the Jansen Outbound Logistics Project in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan as well as and Ken Smith, Manager Corporate Affairs in Canada.
