Jet Ski Competition 2011

Registration is now Open!

The date is set!! Aug. 6th and 7th, 2011. This year is going to be bigger and badder. Not only will the Freeride competition continue again this year, we are also happy to announce we will be holding a big air competition, as well as motosurf racing.

***Freeride Competition Rules***


Safety Equipment

-Mandatory equipment for this event include Bow Loop, Helmet, and a Life Jacket.
-There will be a mandatory rider's meeting at 8:30am August 6th.
-Please fuel your ski up before you get to the beach.  This will make it easier on you. 
(A fueling basin must be used when fueling on the beach.)

Flags:
-There will be three flags in this competition.
*Green = Begin
*Yellow = 1 minutes remaining
*Red = Return to shore immediately

Competition Area:
-The competition area will be buoyed North and South with no outer limit.

Judging:
-Judging will be comprised of 3-5 people. Any scoring disputes will need to be discussed with the Head Judge immediately following you performance.

Scoring:
· 45% Aerial
· 45% Wave
· 10% Overall
*Your score will be based on the top 4 performed tricks in each category. Bigger = Better.

Rounds:
-Pre-Qualification Round
*There will be a single pre-qualification round. It will be judged based on your overall performance. The round will last 6 minutes. You will not be judged head-to-head in this round, rather it will be against everyone. The top 20 riders will move on.

All Rounds Qualification -> Final
*Rounds will be judged head-to-head with the top scorer moving on to the next bracket.

Qualification Rounds - 6 minutes

Semi-Finals - 8 minutes

Finals - 10 minutes

***Motosurf Racing***

Classes:
Amateur & Pro

Rules:
-Helmets & Lanyards Required

*There will be a total of 3 motos run for each class spaced throughout the day.
-Each moto will consist of 6 laps.

*Riders meeting to be held the morning of the August 7th, at 9 am.
-Be suited and ready to race.
-Please fuel your ski up before you get to the beach.
(This will make it easier on you. A fueling basin must be used when fueling on the beach.)

***Big-Air Competition***

Rules:

This competition is open to all skill levels and any watercraft.

-3 Minutes on the Water
-Must land with your Ski

Judging:
-60% Amplitude
-40% Trick

Prizes:

1st Place - 3rd Place
