How have you been impacted by homelessness on the Harbor? What would you most like to see happen to strengthen your community? Sharing stories reinforces our sense of connection and identity – to our history, each other, and the places where we live. Voices from the Harbor provides opportunities to strengthen that connection to bridge generations, build relationships, and strengthen the future on the Harbor. Join us on May 20 to pause and consider your personal hopes, fears, and lessons from your own direct experience of homelessness. We are inviting all residents of the Harbor, including businesses, service providers, and those who have direct experience being homeless, to join in a facilitated conversation. Our intention is to provide an opportunity to listen deeply (beyond sector, issue, or position), and challenge our assumptions about homelessness in Harbor communities. We will commit to respectful listening and seek to understand each others’ perspectives. There are many efforts underway that are attempting to address homelessness. Our hope is that this event will add value to the ongoing work and conversation.
