Description
WING Academy, an exciting new employment readiness training program, is offering a a training cohort in Grays Harbor from March 16th - 27th. WING Academy empowers people at-risk of homelessness or struggling to re-enter the workforce by providing career pathways, soft skills and free technical training, job placement and the support necessary to succeed.
- WING Academy provides a holistic model that includes:
- Wraparound employment-focused case management and peer support throughout the program
- A two-week, 40 hour training providing industry-recognized warehousing-focused certifications (OSHA, CPR/First Aid, Forklift, Certified Logistics Associate) at no-cost to the participant
- Direct connection upon completion of the training to short-term (3 month) paid work experience within the warehousing industry
- Support with removal of employment barriers and connection to additional community resources
- Individuals who are ages 18+
- Individuals who are unemployed or underemployed and looking for work (additional information may be requested)
- Individuals who are interested in Warehousing and related industries as their next employment step
- Individuals who are available for a fast turnaround into a two week training program followed immediately by employment
